When you translate from your native language to English, you speak slowly and make more mistakes. Thinking directly in English helps you speak naturally, faster, and more fluently.
Look around you and name objects in English. Chair, table, window, phone, bottle. Do this throughout the day. When you see an object, think its English name, not your native language name.
Once you can name objects, start describing them. The blue chair near the window. The hot cup of coffee on the table. Use simple adjectives and prepositions.
Talk to yourself about what you are doing. I am opening the door. I am making tea. I am going to the store. This trains your brain to produce English in real time.
Move from words to complete sentences. Instead of just thinking car, think: I need to wash my car today. Instead of lunch, think: I will have lunch at 1 PM.
Throughout the day, run a commentary in English in your head. What should I eat for breakfast? I have a meeting at 10. I need to buy groceries after work.
Learn complete phrases instead of individual words. Learn How much does this cost? instead of just cost. Phrases are ready to use without translation.
